night offensive pitching poor positive
We had a poor offensive night, and we had a poor pitching performance. On the positive side, though, we have (William) Delage going tomorrow. He's been a stopper for us all season, and now he's going to have to do it again.
few help hoping later past picked players sinking spell timely
After we got past the little sinking spell in the first inning, we pitched well, and we got some timely hitting. I'm hoping the players picked up a few things that will help them later on down the road.
bit closer pleased
I'm really pleased with this win. We're not there yet, but we're a little bit closer to where I want us to be.
bottom five guys runs scoreboard team
It's tough, going without guys like that in your lineup. But we battled. ... The bottom line, and what I told our team was, you look up at the scoreboard and there's five runs (Oklahoma) shouldn't have had.
both clutch fun game hit needed offensive watch
It was a fun game to watch from an offensive standpoint. Jo Jo Haney had a big day both offensively and defensively, and his first hit was a clutch one when we really needed it.
baseball field park single team
Once we get it all done, it will be better than it's ever been. Our baseball park and our baseball team are going to get better every single day... Right up to the end of the season, the field will get better.
