Murphy ran an excellent race also. His effort was overshadowed by Sam, but he ran one of the best times ever here. And Carlos ran really well too.

I was impressed. I didn't think they would run as hard as they did. We had the race well in hand, but there is some racing going on between teammates, which is good. Sam ran hard from the beginning and the other guys were pushing it to keep up with him.
caliber fastest high runner
She has got to be the fastest (female) runner we have ever had (in the High Desert). There may not be another runner of her caliber for another 20 or 30 years.

This was pretty good for our first home meet. They ran enough to beat the competition. This was kind of like a workout for us.

It looked a little scary there for a while. But Josie came through with that fifth place. She kind of saved the day for us.

We'll have our work cut out for us on Monday. There's a couple kids that still need to get a little healthier so we are looking forward to them doing that.

They're very conscious of it. They know that whey they go to a meet they're noticed, but it doesn't scare them.

A win is a win. I'm proud of our two seniors, Jamie and Brittany. They weren't feeling up to par today, but they gave it a good race.

He wasn't allowed to go anywhere one day, so he ran circles in an empty lot at his house. He just ran around and around. That's the type of thing that allowed him to be as good as he got.

He matches up with the best we've had. Mt. SAC and the State meet will really show where he is.
