ability athletic basketball bit early incredible might thrust
He?s a very young kid. All the things that I, you, all of us ? because of his incredible athletic ability, not necessarily his basketball ability ? thrust upon him, it might have been a little bit early for him, that?s all.
experience great grown himself negative
He's going to go through a very, very interesting time. He's grown a great deal. I think it's been a very negative experience for him. Which it should be. He put himself in this position.
allow basketball college dominating great player stayed terrific
He's going to be something very, very special. Right now, he is a terrific college basketball player, not the great, great dominating college basketball player that he would be if he stayed in college. I don't think the circumstances are going to allow it to come, unfortunately. I just think that's the way it is.
accept constant defensive excuses great job offensive pressure puts relentless team
He's done a great job there. He has a team that puts constant offensive and defensive pressure on you. They're deep. They run. They're quick. They're just a relentless team. A lot of that has to do with his personality. That's how he coaches, and he doesn't accept excuses when it comes to effort.
basketball learn players represent themselves truly
Hopefully, they'll learn if they truly, truly want to be UConn basketball players and represent the state, represent themselves and our team. Give me that opportunity.
act both eastern jim love share
We may look differently and act differently, but we both share a love for Eastern basketball, a love for the game, a love for people. To go in with Jim is befitting.
bigger chance close clutch crunch guys player seems
We may have guys close to or equal, but no one's been better, ever, at making clutch shots. He's made bigger 3's than any player I've ever had. When it comes down to crunch time, he makes shots. It seems to me the bigger the shot, the better chance he's going to make it.
fix focused full games minutes mistakes seem stay
We have to be a much more focused team. We need to stay connected. We seem to fix our mistakes as games go on. But a full 40 minutes of focus is what we're going to need.
fans far few seeing wait
Our fans couldn't wait to get back to seeing the pretty plays. They were few and far between.
capable good played win
Overall, I thought it was a good win for us, but I don't think we played as well as we're capable of.
knock knocked performance proud team tremendous
Overall, a tremendous performance by Albany. They were magnificent, but I'm really proud that it didn't knock our team out. It knocked us down, but not out.
east games good lesson minutes regular season
Over 16 Big East regular season games, we were good. Over 29 games this season, we were good. But every game you have to show up. Today's 40 minutes are the most important 40 minutes. Our Big East season is over. Hopefully, this is a good lesson for us.
players plays terrific veteran
Our veteran players made some terrific plays down the stretch.
bother degree fourth good kids semester three thrown
Out of 63 kids who had a fourth degree felony, three were thrown out of school, so the percentages were all in his favor. And he was thrown out for a semester for basketball. With that said, I didn't think he had a good game. I do think that things bother him.
