biggest great overrated quite strengths talking team weakness
Our strengths were not our strengths today. We've been talking about the things we don't have. The things we do have were our biggest weakness today. We've never been overrated as a team. We've just been, quite frankly, misconstrued as a team at times. But we have great heart.
caught feeling feels good itself magic opinion team tough
They've caught some magic in my opinion and they're feeling really good about themselves. When a team feels good about itself they're really tough to beat.
scoring threw
They threw us off. Scoring didn't come easily.
good guys kids pick run team top
They run very good offense. If you're not on top of your game, they've got guys on this year's team that can make plays. I think our kids are going to have to pick it up a level.
funny games given team tight
They've always been a team right on the edge. It's been a team that's given us very tight games at times. Other times, we've scored 123 points. It's been a funny series.
asked beat coming game good indication looked minutes writers
A lot of beat writers asked the question, 'Do you think you looked by this game with the Villanova game coming up?'. We didn't. We didn't look by it. The first 25 minutes was a pretty good indication of that.
depth played teams
A lot of teams play us in a grind, not in a wide-open game. That played to our depth and our experience.
amongst backyard ball built cannot early east fulfill fulfilled games good hustling match offensive played team toughest unless win
A lot of times games are built up and they don't fulfill their promise. This game more than fulfilled its promise. Villanova may be, pound-for-pound, the toughest team that we've played anywhere, any time. Early in the game, we had to match their toughness. They were getting every offensive rebound. They were hustling like crazy. Unless you have a tough team, you cannot win this conference. It was like an old Big East backyard ball amongst two really good teams.
hit tough
They made threes, Sheridan hit some tough baselines. I don't know what adjustments you'd like us to make for Allan Ray's 28-footers.
court games last league played scare small spread win year
They played some big games last year without Curtis. They can still win the league but it's going to be tougher. They scare me because of the way they spread the court and make you play small ball.
aspect good guard kids pass seniors three
They pass exceptionally well. They have three seniors and they have very good big people. The most disappointing aspect was that one-on-one, our two 6-10 kids could not guard their two 6-7 kids.
gave played shot
They gave us fits. I don't think we shot well, but we played well.
basketball gave prouder stood tremendous
They gave us a tremendous shot. We withstood it and stood up to it. I couldn't prouder of my basketball team.
couple gave good kids supposed wondering
They gave us a good old-fashioned butt-whipping. We were god-awful. For the first time, I'm wondering if a couple of our kids are as good as they're supposed to be.
