I've known Ozzie since he was 21 years old. He's like a son to me. Nothing about Ozzie surprises me, and nothing that Ozzie does bothers me.

Never. My mother would kill me and she's not even alive.
There are a lot of diamonds, I'll tell you that much.
al good lived pleased series win year
We're saddened by the news. Al lived a long and good life. We're so pleased we were able to win the World Series this year and that he was able to see it before he died.
alone award basic concept employees entire favor giving obviously people players premise resolved whenever wins
We started with the basic premise that an organization wins a championship. Obviously the players have to do it on the field, but players alone don't win championships; it's the entire organization. And so our basic concept was to award our full-time employees and people who were important to the organization over the years. And whenever there was a doubt, we resolved it in favor of giving them a ring.
barely bulls gave lived six stand time wear win
When I gave up law to go into real estate, my mother said, 'How can you give up the law?' But she lived long enough to see the Bulls win all six championships. She would wear all six pendants at the same time. She could barely stand up.

anyone baseball bleeds certainly continue family feels great manager serious train
Ozzie certainly made it an interesting train ride. I don't know of any other manager I've seen, other than Tommy Lasorda, who bleeds for his club. He feels this is his family and his team. I don't think anyone can think Ozzie isn't a serious manager anymore. He's going to continue to say stuff. But Ozzie is a great baseball man.
believe media might series stuff tells win
A lot of stuff he tells to the media he's just making it up. You don't know what to believe and what not to believe. Look, if we win the World Series I might retire. Let's win a World Series and see if he's serious.
emotional moment ovation
The most emotional moment of the day for me was the ovation for Aaron. That was just awesome.

Dennis and I immediately became good friends, and he's helped us in so many ways since he came with us. Dennis is such a nice guy, and he reminds me of a Jewish mother. He's always concerned and worried about everything. He's very caring.
