We had a guy at the plate that hadn't played in a while, so it's tough to expect him to go up there and get a hit.
Just got a fastball out over the plate and did what I wanted to do. I think the ball was carrying. I think the wind was bouncing off the stands and sending the ball back out.
We've got to continue to battle and not put pressure on ourselves.
We're going through a tough time right now. But a win is a win, and we'll take it.
We're going through a tough time right now, ... But a win is a win, and we'll take it.
Being a rookie, you don't know what to expect out of a World Series. You're just happy to be there. It's basically a lot of rah-rah, ... Now, I've had a lot of playoff experience with Oakland. This is my fifth time in the postseason. I'm just happy to get back and I hope to get a ring this time.
You can let the game come to you and we did that tonight. We haven't had one of these in a while. The offense showed up and Freddy went out there and did what he needed to.
Two good pitching staffs going at it. Hopefully it is a low-scoring game,
We're trying to win series. You feed off everything, and we're all doing well. It's an all-around team effort.
I didn't really try to do too much, ... Just tried to hit it hard somewhere and found a hole up the middle.
One of the worst weather games we played in so far.
No one ever said this was going to be easy. We've got to stay positive and just find a way to get some momentum.
Last year was the best team I've played on as far as an all-around team. Maybe not the best players. But as far as a team in the clubhouse, on the field, pulling for each other, it was the best. That's why we were able to win.
When I hit it, I thought it was probably gone.
