across canada great hockey
It's great for women's hockey to see that it's not just U.S. and Canada across the board.
came game hard hockey played starts true worked
It starts with the goalie out. They worked hard and played a hard game, and unfortunately it came down to a shootout, which to me isn't really a true championship. It comes down to one-on-one, and that's not a hockey game.
battle best bring
We bring out the best in them and they bring out the best in us. It's always a battle on the ice.
anchor beans collar corps dog globe leash marine money
We've used some money to get a dog carrier for Beans and also a leash and collar with the Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor emblem on them.
dream front name olympics wearing
Representing the U.S. in the Olympics is a dream come true, you're wearing the U.S. jersey, and that's who you play for, you don't play for the name on the back of the jersey, you play for the name on the front of the jersey.
good
I think they're going to be a good team. They're going to be fast. They're going to make you think.
hit missed net pipe stood tons
I think we outplayed them. We had tons of shots; they didn't go in for us. We missed the net and hit the pipe I don't know how many times. The goalie stood on her head. We had our chances.
bury excuse stood
I think we've got a young team, (but) it's not an excuse. Things didn't go our way. Their goalie stood on her head, and we didn't bury it.
changing enjoy experience game screw
You just go out and play your game. You can't think about 'What do I need to do to make the team.' All you can do is your best. If that's what's going to do it, that's what's going to do it. If you try changing yourself, you're going to screw your game up. You've got to try to enjoy the experience and have fun.
chances few maybe missed net work
We had a lot of chances and maybe missed the net a few times, but that's all things that we can work on in practice.
capitalize chances needed twice
We had twice as many chances as they did, we just didn't capitalize when we needed to.
bury needed
Unfortunately, we didn't bury it when we needed to.
gotten talking
I've gotten better about talking more and being a leader,
brings bury eyes stood tears
Their goalie stood on her head, and we didn't bury it. It's hard. It brings tears to my eyes. I think we outplayed them.
