battle best bring
We bring out the best in them and they bring out the best in us. It's always a battle on the ice.
I really wanted to get back and see this.
beat beginning dream people surprised tournament
We said at the beginning that people were going to be surprised at how competitive this tournament was. This is disappointing, and it's hard. It's all you dream about. But they beat us. What else can you say?
picking players
We have 20 players picking each other up.
great lose together win
We have 20 great players. We lose together and we win together.
capitalize ton
We had a ton of chances. We didn't capitalize on them.
challenge face great kindness looking reminder wondering
We were all kind of looking at each other, wondering what we had to do. It was a great reminder to just keep working for every minute. This is the kind of challenge you have to face in the Olympics.
kindness looking wondering
We were all kind of looking at each other, wondering what we had to do.
bury needed
Unfortunately, we didn't bury it when we needed to.
hit missed net pipe stood tons

bury excuse stood
I think we've got a young team, (but) it's not an excuse. Things didn't go our way. Their goalie stood on her head, and we didn't bury it.
came champion true
It came down to a shootout, which to me isn't a true champion. It comes down to one-on-one and that's not hockey.
dream front name olympics wearing
Representing the U.S. in the Olympics is a dream come true, you're wearing the U.S. jersey, and that's who you play for, you don't play for the name on the back of the jersey, you play for the name on the front of the jersey.
good
I think they're going to be a good team. They're going to be fast. They're going to make you think.
