It's tough. You put an entire off-season in, not only conditioning your body but working with these guys and getting on the same page. I love playing with these guys. I love what I do. It's tough to say that the rest of the year I'm going to watch from the sideline.

It was kind of encouraging. In past times it was almost, I don't know, people didn't let it hurt enough. It was pretty somber back there. Guys were talking about the game and interested in ways to fix it. I enjoyed that.

I was interested in the mindset. Especially coming off a year like the last, you want to make sure nobody's saying, 'Oh no, not again,' because it's not that situation. It's all stuff that we can fix, all of it. I'm confident we can do it.
