We sit around and brainstorm all the time, even in our off period, ... We're always asking: What if? What If? What if?
I know the big events, like if a camp burned down from a fire. But in terms of the minutiae from day to day... not much. If somebody's just whining, I won't know about it, because everybody whines. But if there's a legitimate concern that a person may quit tonight at tribal council, then yes, I need to know that. Tribal council lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
It was a doozy. People were on their knees, on their backs, throwing up and having their eyes rolling back in their heads.
Exile Island. There were a couple of times at tribal council this season where I was having an almost out of body experience and I realized: I'm getting paid to do this fascinating job!
You go into any Chili's during the month of September and simply color a pepper for $1. It doesn't sound like a lot, but every dollar helps the children who depend upon the life-saving research and care provided by St. Jude.
This is our toughest one yet, ... It's fair to say Palau was a vacation compared to this.
People are wondering when it's going to stop, where it's going to stop.
At some point, at least you know there are some things that are good and solid and you can rely on. Nobody in their right mind thinks Survivor is about survival ... It's a game show.
definitely in love. More in love that I was six months ago.
This is definitely a season in which teams need the strongest players to survive.
Most of the time there's just one associate producer who's also acting as a camera operator. At certain times, we'll send a cameraman and an audio person. But even in those cases, there is zero interaction, unless the producer decides to interview the castaway about what's going on. You ask anybody who's spent a night on Exile Island and I think they'll tell you that they felt very much alone.
I finally met someone who could teach me about love.
They know that any time somebody's been to Exile Island, that means the idol could have been found. You don't know. Maybe I'm telling you I have it and I don't. Maybe I'm not telling you I have it and I do.
It was a lot of fun because we never had anyone on the show with such a lie to tell and tell it so well.
