We were on our heels a lot and they were able to capitalize. We didn't get many calls and we could have used a break.

It's definitely easier if you're in the playoffs. From that sense, this is a completely different mind-set from where you want to be. But at the same time there are a lot of guys here playing for jobs, playing for next year. At this point you're playing for pride and wanting to win as a group. But I admit we should be ashamed about some of the games we've played lately.

That's not quite accurate. There are still things to play for. You're still getting paid to play, this is still a game where you try to entertain the fans so you try to go hard.

You never go into a game expecting a cake walk. I thought we played well enough to win. But again, the power play didn't come through in the first period on the 5-on-3. Then, they get that power play goal and we're playing catch-up.

This is probably the closest group of guys we've had. Trips like this help, because it gets everybody, especially the guys with families, involved. It brings us together. The way our team plays, we should play as well as on the road as we do at home. It's hard to figure out.
