athlete campus character evaluate good junior maybe rather step student tape watch watching
I like to watch junior tape, but I also like to get to know the young man. Being an athlete is one thing; being a student and having good character is something else. How can you evaluate that after watching junior tape and maybe getting them on campus one or two times? I'd rather be a step slower.

We do need to eliminate the 15-yard penalties, but I don't think that was a good call on roughing the passer against East Carolina. He was honest with me. I asked if he roughed the passer and he told me, 'Coach, this time I did not.' I watched the tape, and I believe him.

I know that if we're going to beat McNeese State, we've got to be better than we were against Alabama.

I'm proud of the way they stepped up. We did a lot of things well for our first ballgame.

Once training camp starts, we are going to proceed as normal. But there are going to be some challenges.

I'm just disappointed we didn't take care of the ball any better that first quarter. I thought we had a chance to do a lot of good things.

It was a good year. I became closer to this team than any other team because of everything we've been through.

It's important that we keep moving forward and making progress with all our facilities. We have to keep making progress there.
