sharp side step took
We took a step back on offense. We weren't very sharp at anything on that side of the ball.

He's got the tools, he's just got to learn the offense and keep making good decisions with the ball.

He's gotten better. He's still got to be a better decision maker, but he's improved.

His seatbelt saved him. He is definitely out.

anyone excited games handled players practices stretch time
We're going to get into a stretch where we are going to play a lot of games without time off. I think the players have handled it well. Our practices have been good. They know there's nothing anyone could've done about the games being canceled. We know we are going to play and they will be excited about playing.
We'll be fine. We'll find a way to get it done.
add excited future gives player
We feel that this gives us a player we want and the player to add for our future that we are really, really excited about.
hard played playing pleased room run second
We played hard and I was pleased with our effort. We didn't do some things very well. After playing the run well in the first half, we didn't play it well in the second half. There is a lot of room for improvement.
against asked believe call east eliminate good honest time watched
We do need to eliminate the 15-yard penalties, but I don't think that was a good call on roughing the passer against East Carolina. He was honest with me. I asked if he roughed the passer and he told me, 'Coach, this time I did not.' I watched the tape, and I believe him.
adversity arms bowl city everybody gone home hosting opening orleans teams thankful
With all the adversity that everybody in New Orleans has gone through, I'm thankful to the city of Lafayette for opening their arms up to this bowl and hosting this game. Because if those things don't happen, there are two teams that are at home today.
