UK has a unique mission and a unique mandate and I think we've articulated the financial needs for meeting that mandate in our business plan and we've been consistent from Day One that that be adequately funded not only to help the university but to help the commonwealth.

We're hopeful that it will be adopted by the legislature. But obviously there's a lot of competing interests ... it's too early to tell.

We have a long-term agreement with CHA. We expect there will be no changes to benefits or services for at least five years.
care facility great needs patient
We have a great facility and staff, but it needs to be updated. That patient care facility is over 40 years old and needs to be replaced.
funds operation plug
Those funds will plug back into the operation of the hospital.
coal dollars region
Those are coal severance dollars and they have to go back to the region and they're going for an educational use which is something we've supported.

He told the president he'd be interested in coming down for a visit sometime, but there's no commitment yet on a story.
