At this point, I want to be good enough (at linebacker) to win games.
Who knows what the face of this team is going to look like next year? Winning six in a row ending in December isn't going to do a thing for you come next September. A lot of stuff happens.
We got an ugly win that was very beautiful.
It kind of upset me to see it again hanging in the hallway, but when you win it, you can do that. I'm glad they got fined by their team, but I'm not big on bulletin-board stuff. If you need a bulletin board to get you going for Sunday, then you need to get a new line of business.
Just stupid, people doing dumb stuff, me included. I've seen games that are dump and stupid and sloppy, and you get your (butt) kicked. To have five turnovers and however many penalties we had and still have a chance to win the game at the end? It shows we can be a darned good team if we get our head out of our butt.
But to have five turnovers and how many ever penalties we had and, really, have a chance to win the game at the end ... it shows we can be a darn good team if we get our head out of our butt and play better.
He brings all the things you look for in a head coach. He is prepared, he is focused, he obviously wants to win and he has a plan. He is going to be successful and get done what he wants done with or without you. That I do like. He holds everybody accountable and he is not afraid to tell someone that they are messing up. Everyone has to be accountable and know their role and take care of their job and be focused and be intense.

We didn't make the playoffs. We definitely did a better job this year, but we still didn't make the playoffs.
Don't get me wrong, we haven't proven anything yet. We won a game, big deal.
You do one early in the year and everyone's going to do it to you until you put the fire out. It's my responsibility to put the fire out, not only for myself but everybody else. Maybe if I stop committing penalties, than everybody else will stop.
We did a decent job of keeping them off balance,
There's one voice here. There's one person out front, and that's Nick, and everything goes through him. Not everybody likes it, but that's the way he runs his ship.
We have a lot of respect for him. He's a very good talent. He can run. He's quick. He's powerful. He has great vision. If we can't stop him, it's going to be a long day.
