When you've got something special like that, you want to make sure they have every opportunity to get it. I was proud for her to get a perfect game. So many things could go wrong.

There was a lot of unsung heroes for us. It was a team effort. Sometimes people get lost in the shuffle. But it takes an entire group. They earned it and there was nothing given to them.

They didn't come in bunches. I think we had opportunities to score more than we did. A couple of times we left some runners out there.

As a coach, you always like the idea of controlling your own destiny. That's been our motto all year, just to go out and win our games and not worry about what other teams are doing. If we continue to win the games that we play, only good things will happen for us in the long run.

The kids expect to make plays. It's a lot of concentration. We spend a lot of time working on fundamentals and they do a good job of that.

I'm not happy with the way we swung the bat today. We swung at some bad pitches. We will have to do a better job of hitting if we want to play a long time, but for the most part it was a win and I'm not going to take anything away from that.
adapt certainly chance girls good hopefully kids move positions
The good thing is that we can move a lot of our kids around and still be all right. Our girls really adapt well to different positions and that's certainly a strength. We're going to play with that for a while and hopefully we'll find a lineup that will give us a good chance in the long run.
