They won the game for us, that's for sure. They had three or four power plays, then five-on-three. The one thing is they don't score, plus they were using their top players and getting frustrated, too.
I was 90 percent sure we were going to make it. I'm glad. I got what I expected. I would be very upset if we didn't make it.
In the U.S., you have so many rules, everything's regulated and structured. When you make a mistake, you pay for it -a lot.
In the K.H.L., you're even more patient at your position because the rink is so big, you cannot play that way.
In order to win games, your top line has to score. Some nights, it works for us, and tonight was one of those nights.
He stole my goal. I'm going to kick him out of the apartment.
He's scared to go back again, that's why he's playing good. They told him if he goes three games without a goal, they're going to send him back.
Hopefully, I can keep playing like this in the Olympics. And hopefully, I can be even better for the Rangers after the break.
Hopefully, my most important goal is going to come later in the season.
He backed up his words. I respect that.
I feel like our power play was doing the job. We scored a lot of goals on the power play.
I cannot really lift my arm or do anything.
I cannot hide behind the bench and wait for somebody else. I'm the highest-paid guy on the team. Who else is going to do it? That's my job. If I cannot do it, there's no reason to be here. I have to score goals for this team to win.
I am not running from that. If that happens, it would be a big honor to me and I would feel a lot more comfortable than if that happened a year ago.
