brings close game good talk teams
It was such a good, close game with two good teams going at it, so we always talk about that game. I think that it brings back some memories.
best country effort good guys start stepped team teams year
It was a very good team effort for us. I don't know where to start on the guys who contributed. Everyone stepped up. That's one of the best teams year after year in the country that we beat.
conference game wild win won
It was a wild place. It was really rocking. We had to win that game or we wouldn't have won the conference championship.
assistant coach coaches coaching good guys head jobs looking preparing
I want guys who want to be head coaches. To be a good head coach you have to be a good assistant first. I want our guys looking at head coaching jobs and preparing to be head coaches because that makes them good assistant coaches.
deserved great
They deserved to win. They did a great job.
foul free guys playing teams tough trouble
They were a physical, tough team. Those were two teams getting after it and playing aggressive. We didn't outbound them and they got more free throws. Obviously, our big guys having foul trouble had something to do with it.
certainly difference played
It's certainly a setback. But it's not as big as some make it out to be. The difference (Monday) was we played much better in the first half.
ask common five game gotten last people riding rivalry teams time together
It's amazing. Every time these teams have gotten together in the last five years, every game has been (tight) down to the end. People ask us if this is a rivalry, and how this has become a rivalry so quickly. It's not very common for a rivalry to come upon this quickly. Every game has a lot of riding on it. Every game has been a battle.
feels handled missed moving proud worse
I told him it's over. We're moving on. We missed it, and no one feels worse than he does. He's going to do what he's done for everything else this year. I'm very proud of him. He's handled things well.
continue couple feels free handling missed moving throws win work worse
I told him it's over and we're moving on. He missed it. No one feels worse than him. He's going to continue to work hard. He's going to work harder. He'll find a way. Shortly, we'll see him make a couple of free throws to win a game. He's handling it well.
compared couple dribble football good hand heard past people playing ready team
It's a hand-off play. We dribble it over and hand it off. ... People say we're a football team playing basketball. We've heard it for the past couple of years now. They all say, 'Now we have to get ready to play the Steelers.' We think it's good to be compared to a team that's had so much success.
familiar far good playing seen short turnaround
We've seen them and we're familiar with them. Having a short turnaround as far as playing them, at least it's good that we're familiar with them.
contact mentioned throughout time
We had been in contact throughout the time he was home. He mentioned some things.
complaints-and-complaining improving second
We're 16-1. I wouldn't want to be complaining about that. No one would listen. We're getting better and improving every game. Even (against St. John's), we got much better in the second half.
