bit eyes mind open whether
to put it in (the Rockies') mind whether they want me back or open somebody's eyes a little bit where they'll want me.
difficult fun happy hit pitch time
This was the first time I've ever hit in the first inning, so to get a hit and be a part of the fun was kind of cool. It's not real difficult to pitch with a 15-run lead, but I'm happy with the way I went about my business.
accurate extremely far fast outside strong
She's extremely accurate and she has very hard, fast outside shots. She's strong and she's fast. As far as a five-yard burst, she's very quick.
felt
Right away, it felt like that's what I should have been doing for 10 years,
baseball cherish days enjoy greatest last people player recognize watching year
People need to recognize that this is one of the greatest players, if not the greatest baseball player ever. We should cherish the last year or two years or 20 days we have him. I enjoy watching him play.
adrenaline crowd impression keeping manager plenty pressure special teammates trying
That will be the challenge, just keeping the adrenaline in check. There's already going to be plenty as it is with the crowd and trying to make an impression to my new teammates and my manager and the coaches. I'll try not to go out and put any pressure on myself and do something special because it's an All-Star lineup.
bottom half missed percent runs seven throw throwing top trying
I was trying to throw in and missed and it got away from me. Then the whole inning got away from me, the whole game. It was a little frustrating, especially after going out there and throwing up two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Then I go out there and give up seven runs in the top half of the inning. That's 100 percent not doing my job.
continuity last point
We are a little more comfortable and have a little more continuity than we did at this point last season.
pieces
We have the pieces to the puzzle. We have a lot of weapons.
ball came lucky threw today
I'm not a very lucky pitcher. I thought I threw the ball well today and came out with a loss.
chance given gone half team win
I know that I've gone out and given us a chance to win and done it with half our team hurt, too.
game seen
I have never seen a game like that here, ... Never.
bench both defining great impressed katie played
I never want to say that there is a defining moment, but we were down 4-1 and were able to come back. I think by doing so they showed a lot of character. I couldn't be prouder. I was impressed by our off the bench play, Katie O'Neil and Megan Jimenez both played a great, great game.
casey definitely everybody people realize second start wondered
It's definitely different. I like it. This could be the start of a second career. (Agent) Casey (Close) told me I don't realize how many people have wondered what I'd do as a reliever. Now, everybody is going to find out.
