We had a small terrace house for sale. The owners were posted to Singapore and were at a loss as to what to do with their beloved cat. There were six buyers keen on the property and one young woman managed to win the heart of the vendors by telling them that she loved cats and if she bought the house, she would happily keep theirs. No sooner had she completed than it transpired she was allergic to cats and had absolutely no intention of keeping it.
