both continue good meets people surprise
Both meets will be good indicators of where we are. We just have to continue to get better and we will be fine. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people come Big Tens.
events impress people solid three
Leah was solid in all three of her events. She will impress a lot of people this year.
amazingly break means people record school takes three
Obviously, when you break a school record it means a lot. She is amazingly talented. She is doing things that typically takes two or three people to do.
ability athletes bach beating certain contribute distance finals focus freshmen jumping knock lauren people position running steven ten thompson younger
I look for our freshmen to contribute a lot in the relays. We also need them to get into the finals in their respective events, to knock other people out of position to score. Some of the younger athletes, like Lauren Scott , Steven Bach and Terrell Thompson , have the ability to do that. At the Big Ten meet, I tell all of our athletes to focus on beating bodies, not on jumping a certain distance or running a certain time. If you focus on beating people, those things will come.
close enables largest meet people
This will probably be one of our largest squads at an away meet. The meet being so close enables us to get a look at some of the people that didn't go to Georgia.
festive front people running showcase
We want to showcase our athletes. It's going to be a festive atmosphere; running in front of 40,000 people is always exciting.
athletes awakening capable compete david defend four goal great high hope improve john major national onto people points pole score scoring side solid trying vault year
Our goal on the men's side is to be where we were a year ago, if not better, and for Rickey and John to improve their qualifying marks, and for others, like David Rae , to make it onto the national lists. Rickey is going in trying to defend his title. If he is able to do that, it will get us rolling. We also hope to score well in the pole vault because we have four solid athletes in it. David Rae is capable of scoring us some major points in the 3,000. We are a young team, but we have a lot of people capable of doing great things. Hopefully, Big Tens will be an awakening for them to compete at a high level.
budget fact facts figures prepared sensibly simple unless
The simple fact is that no budget could have sensibly been prepared unless all the facts and figures are available, where, by and large, they now are.
finished last returns second ten
IU returns their whole team. They finished second in the Big Ten last season, so they will be good.
catch country cross pack races top work
Cross Country is such a pack sport. In our first two races we did not pack up very well. If we want to catch some of the top teams, we need to work on bunching up.
athletes chance few final fine low meet next offer opportunity quite ready rested ten tune ups
Quite a few of our athletes will be off this weekend, getting rested and ready for next weekend's Big Ten meets. This meet should be pretty low key, but it will offer us a chance for final preparations and tune ups for Big Tens. Those athletes who need to rest will rest and those who need fine tuning will have an opportunity to do that as well.
great record school time until wait
Brooke has been great for us. She will have to wait until Big Tens to get the school record but that time will come.
far funding government reached shall team
The team has reached this far without government funding and the team shall reach that far the same way.
forget race sneaks tendency
Sometimes when you get two thoroughbreds like that, they have a tendency to race each other and forget about everyone else. And then someone sneaks in and wins.
