Unless coach Marshall just decides to start calling things that he's always wanted to call, I would suspect that that they would be very similar to what they've been. I just doubt that a team would invest that much time in preparation, and then throw it out and try to get some new things in one week's time. The logical thing would be to assume that they're going to proceed as if Ray were there.

I would think it would be out of character for a guy who has been a successful coach for as long as he has. It almost sounds desperate.

He went through all the (minicamps), and just a few weeks ago he was out here running plays. .... It's always a coaches preference to have everybody for the full time, but it doesn't always work that way, and we feel confident that we'll pick up with what (he's) missed and catch him up.

I just don't know what to make of the comments he's always making about Jacksonville. He either has a buddy here he's talking to through code or something. I'm not sure I get it. With Jerome, he's been doing it a long time. He's been a great player for a long, long time and looked really good Monday night. We understand what he brings. Parker just brings some juice. This guy is fast. That really jumps out at you.

Doctors determined (surgery) was necessary, that rest was not going to make it better. It's a simple procedure to allow him to get back in a few weeks without the continuing pain.
