Last year, everything went smooth for him, and this season, he's had to deal with some obstacles and adversity. He does possess great character, and he didn't panic. He stayed the course, and I think a lot of people who've gotten to the level he's at in track would have panicked. Once he was fairly healthy, he got back out and did the work. He's always kept his poise.

If we make a play here and there or get a base hit here and there, we could be 6-2. But we haven't done it. Sean Green struck out 13 in his first outing and then comes back with nine against Crown Point. John strikes out 14. Both have pitched well. We've just let ourselves down.

They made everything, my goodness. It was a combination of great basketball by them and I'd like to think not too good of a job by us defensively. They had a lot of uncontested shots. Their speed, quickness, size and athleticism are difficult to contend with.
