That was a good game for us. Hennessy and Convery really stepped up for us. We had it under two with under a minute to play, and we fouled, but they hit their free throws. We played pretty hard and made some nice adjustments, we just couldn't finish.

Most of his peers, everybody that saw him during the period, say that he just did everything with ease. Whether it was hitting home runs, catching a ball, running, it just seemed that it was almost magic.

We came out early and scored some runs. But we didn't get totally focused until the fourth inning. For a little while, we acted like we were satisfied with just two runs. We started picking better pitches to swing at. We got better hits and, consequently, we got more runs.

Jeremy had a pretty good run. The weather was really nice. Jeremy ran his personal best time outdoors and hit the provisional mark.

I also saw two rainbows, driving home from Dover just before 4 p.m.. It was pretty spectacular. All of a sudden the sun was trying to break through the clouds, and then, 15 minutes later, it was another downpour. By the time I got home to Salem, we had sleet and hail. It was hitting the windows so hard, it was scaring my wife.
