His potential is fantastic and to beat Tim was a great result for him.
With all the things I've had to go through it would be a big deal for me to get back to British number one.
I don't remember starting a match with five double-faults in my career.
At the beginning, I just couldn't miss. He played a little better in the second set but from 4-4 I played some really good tennis and came up with the break.
Murray will be the top British player for many years,
I think I was written off after Wimbledon, so it hasn't been too bad since then. I'm going to give Ukraine the last chance to try to get that British No 1 spot.
I thought the first set was really good, especially getting that early break. He's a very deceptive player.
I think Tim and I have been waiting for this for a decade, finally to see someone who I believe is the real deal and has proven himself already in the Grand Slams and on the tour,
I was really pleased, ... As I say, I had ups and downs in my career. The older you get, time passes on, people forgive and move on. It was really nice. I enjoyed the reception I got and the support from the public. It was great.
(John) McEnroe sees him in the top 20, I see him getting into the top 50 and then the top 20.
I think I played a good two sets out there today. I've got to look at it as I've played really well, he couldn't miss anything today. I think everything was working for him.
I think I played a good two sets out there today,
He's always a tough opponent. He returns so well. But at the beginning I just couldn't miss. I managed to stay on top, played some great tennis, and I'm very pleased with it.
He has gained experience at the US Open and Wimbledon and he enjoys playing on clay, which is a bonus going into the match.
