I got to know the lines on the golf course. You know where you're hitting the ball, you know where the trouble is, trying to keep it away from it. So I'm starting to feel a little bit more comfortable with it and hopefully I can keep it going the next couple of days.
That's why we have practice rounds. We make the adjustments as we go around, try and find out how to play the golf course the best we can. No big deal, it's nothing to me, it's the same for me as it is to everybody and we're all trying to understand it.
Our thoughts and feelings go out to everyone over there.
I was excited when we announced the earlier group of players and with the additions we have today, I believe we have a great blend of talented professionals. The fans are in for a treat.
I didn't make any mistakes today, kept the ball in play, hit a lot of greens and probably the only flaw on my whole day was I didn't make the putts that I thought I would.
Of course, I'm disappointed. Of all the ones I've let get away, this was the worst. You play poorly and you pay the price. That's all there is to it. My putting was out of sync, my rhythm was out. That's all I can say. I just didn't get the job done. But I'll wake up tomorrow morning and, hopefully, I'll still be breathing.
If I had won today and all those other championships, my life might be totally different, but I didn't win. It's not going to affect my life. I am upset inside, but I'm not going to run around and be like a Dennis Rodman and head-butt an official.
If I play more golf and feel competitive, it's going to be on the regular tour. I don't see myself adjusting my schedule for senior tournament golf.
I feel for Ernie. He knows what he needs. But he's got to slow down, because this running all around the world has caught up to him. Not his golf game, it's just his head. It tires you out. It's just tough.
It's just that I don't feel like I'm ready to compete at a major championship level. After conferring with my physician, we decided it was in my best interest to stay the course of the rehabilitation program that was outlined immediately after surgery.
The aggressive people get rewarded here. Those that don't pay a price. I like it here. I like the system.
Would there possibly be another woman? Absolutely. Time will tell who that will be.
When you see that many people with a smile on their face, then we must be doing something right.
I'm not interested at all in playing more than 12, 15 tournaments a year on an annual basis because like all the old guys out here on this Tour, we've played golf for nearly 30 years of our lives.
