It came down to offensive execution. We found a way to get runners on base, move them over and then get the big hit that brought them around. We got into a couple situations with two strikes and two outs and finished with some really good at-bats.
It is one of those situations where you wish we could have gotten another inning, because we were hitting the ball really late in the game. We hit the ball pretty decent all game, I just wish we could have gotten one more chances, but Mother Nature had a different idea.
The investment that we put into remedying the year 2000 issue certainly has been substantial. But over the long term, the savings that result from compliance today ensure that over the long run, we save money.
They just never fell in. I'm not disappointed but frustrated we didn't have anything to show for it.
