(Turner) had an unbelievable night. There comes a point and time when you're a senior when you have to start to assert yourself. Usually those times are on the road.
Today we were smart enough (to win). We ran out of timeouts and we did a lot of good things the last two minutes that we needed to do. Everybody feels real good about it right now.
You can't describe it. I can't describe it and I'm a pretty wordy guy. But I have no words to describe what I saw (Saturday).
You can't change this all in one night. We are extremely flawed, as you can tell.
When Renee?s got the ball in her hands, the best play that we have is this. That?s the play I call. It?s not a secret play either, I cross my fingers and pray because anything can happen.
We can't run a play. We can't get into any kind of offense. For us, it was hard to find people to contribute. (Rutgers) got contributions from a lot of people.
We commit some of the dumbest fouls I've ever seen. I don't think other teams foul as much as we do.
We put ourselves in position to win with two minutes left and we didn't do it. A lot of that responsibility falls on my shoulders.
The really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road. I'm really happy with our guys, because we answered a lot of different challenges tonight. When we needed a stop, we got one. If we needed a turnover, we got one. When we needed a bucket ... I liked the way we responded to all the things thrown at us.
There are a lot of players who score a lot of points and they get them whether their team is winning or losing. Ann's always been more about timing and not about how many.
To their kids' credit, they play hard, even last year when they were losing. Their mind-set is, 'We can win,' where before they were hoping not to get beat by too much. Watching on film, they act like they can win.
With Brittany, you?re not sure what level she?s at. How much will she play during the tournament? I don?t know. How much can she play? I still don?t know.
With Brittany, you're not quite sure what level she's at. She hasn't been able to practice much since the Big East tournament. It took a little toll on her. But even if she can play in a limited role, at least we have someone in the lane who can counteract some of the teams we can play. But how much, I don't know.
There are serious concerns about our guard play. Good guard play is such a pivotal factor in good basketball teams.
