expect jonathan performance regular
This is the kind of performance we expect out of Jonathan on a regular basis.
decided executing gradually needed opened pull trying zone
We weren't executing so we decided we were going to pull them out of the zone but that wasn't working effectively. We needed to do it and we gradually opened it up enough to where they had to really extend. We weren't stalling; we were trying to get them to come out of the zone.
carried
We got carried away with the lead. And like we have done in the past, we let up.
maintain open running second steals third
Once we were able to open up that 17-point lead, we were pretty much able to maintain that through the third quarter. In that second quarter, there were a lot of steals and just a lot of turnovers on their part, and we started running ...
consistent silent
Demetrius has been our silent leader. He's been our most consistent player. He's been outstanding.
faculty good leader quiet shows
He is a quiet leader and an outstanding student. What impresses me the most is that all of the faculty have nothing but good things to say about him, and that shows his character.
capable guys knock leave
Garrett is capable of doing that (scoring). He's one of the guys they won't be keying on and if they leave him open, he's going to knock them down.
good kids knew ranked
I knew they were a good team. But they're not ranked and that's what the kids look at.
early entire fourth game intense intensity knew lay learn level meet needs team
I knew Pat's wasn't going to come in and lay down. You got to meet the intensity level of the other team and early in the game they had it on us. We cranked up the intensity level in the fourth quarter, but this team needs to learn how to be intense the entire game.
against expect game games good job last respond win
You can't expect to have your 'A' game every game. However, what we've done is respond in the big games and that's good to see. The Marist game (a 71-54 win that was televised) was a big one and they responded in that. We also did a good job against St. Pat's (a 68-57 win last Saturday).
