asking bullpen coach early felt knowing last morning night pitching sleep talking
I got to sleep real early last night knowing I had to be up real early this morning. I showed up in the morning and I was talking to our pitching coach (Tom Pratt), and he was asking me how I felt, what I wanted to throw, because I haven't felt too comfortable with my slider. But in the bullpen I felt like I had (the slider). I felt like I had everything.
If we can do things more efficiently, be more effective, that's what we need to do.

I don't know anyone at this newspaper who won't be saddened by Karen's departure. Both personally and professionally it is a great loss.

gonna hear love people ultimately
I'd like to be that chameleon. That's really ultimately what I want to hear from people eventually: 'I really love when I see him in stuff, but I never know he's gonna be here.' I want to be that actor that surprises you when you see him in a project, and you go, 'Yes! I love that guy. He's in this? Awesome.'
deal hard hurricane issues pick work
I don't get to pick which issues have come to me in my career, ... They come to me and I have to deal with them, like Hurricane Andrew. I work hard and I'm there.

I don't believe we can say we are considering it in the near term at all.

aggressive businesses cases compliance continue dramatic efforts fraud improve led meaningful savings small suspected system
Meaningful reforms, more aggressive investigation of workers' compensation fraud and compliance efforts have led to dramatic savings for Florida's businesses. We will continue to aggressively investigate cases of suspected fraud to continue to improve the system for our small businesses and our workers.
general next parcel reaction
My general reaction to anything new being put on that parcel next to us is it's going to be an improvement.
appearance companies earnings easier far less looked positive profit
One positive is that S&P earnings so far have looked better than the year-earlier period. Granted, comparisons are a lot easier as companies take less write-offs, but it's still something that's encouraging. I don't think we're going to have a big profit recovery, but we'll have the appearance of improvement.
base build cost families importance leaders strong talk
One of the things I talk about is the importance of having strong families in our state. It's the base of society. Strong families build the leaders of tomorrow. Strong families keep down the cost of government.
closer resident school students
One of the startling findings for me working with these students is that they feel closer to us and the school than our resident students do.
