bit entire fortunate gone good july miss missed month opportunity recruiting summer
I'm really fortunate because I'm not going to be gone that long, and I won't miss recruiting. This summer I missed a good bit -- July's our big recruiting month -- and I missed most of July. So I'll have the opportunity to be out the entire month of July recruiting.

People that aren't typically women's basketball fans, if they just tune in for a little bit and see them play, they'll come back for more.
bit example felt freedom great knows leader leads needs players positive team teammates tough year
Mo has always been the tough one on the team and she leads by example with her toughness, but this year she's become a much better communicator with her teammates because she knows we're young and she needs to be very positive with them as well. All of the players have remarked that she's become a great leader for us. bit change consider desirable early great happening parity reaching
Parity is a great thing for the sport, but I think we?re still 5-10 years away from reaching the same level. There are more upsets, but only in the early rounds, if you consider those upsets. There?s still a lot we have to do to get to a desirable level, and there are so many things to consider. It?s happening a little bit now, but you?re not going to see everything change all in one tournament.

battling dangerous fighting fights-and-fighting knew team tradition
I knew they were going to come out fighting and battling and they did. When you've got a team with such tradition and at home, it's a very dangerous combination.

I'm really impressed with Jefferson. I've watched several tapes on them and she keeps getting better and better. She can create her own shot and she's strong, physical and athletic. She's a tough kid. She set the tone for them in the first half (against Kentucky).

continued defense gain good great half hit second shots
It was gradual. They hit shots and continued to gain more confidence. Our defense in the second half was not as good as it was in the first half, and they hit great shots.
