I think they'll give us their best game. They are going to run their big tailback real hard at you. You're on the road so you always have to give it a little extra shot.

We throw the ball to him (Thompson) out of the backfield. He can do a lot of things for us.
bob coming hard kids numbers tackling tough work
It's going to be tough for him. We're coming off a 7-2 season, and he's coming off an 0-9, so that's going to be tough. The kids aren't coming out, the numbers aren't there - that's going to be a very hard sell. I can tell you Bob will work hard, and Bob will work on the basics. They'll be a better tackling team.
effort knew pleased
We knew we were going to have young line. I'm really pleased with their effort so far.
bunch group
This is not a real rah-rah group, it's more of a group from within, a group that's going to play from within, and I kind of like it. They don't have to make a whole bunch of noise. They're going to show what they got on the field, and I kind of like that.

I think they (Massac County) are better this year. Their linemen are good because they block and they run.

Payton Thompson is a threat anywhere on the field. That's why he doesn't come off the field very much. He's going to be around the ball.
