It was a total team effort. We played 16-17 guys per game. It's really good to see contributions up and down our lineup. When they get to the ball park, they are ready to play because they know they are going to play at some point and time.

It was a rough weekend. We were kind of a little banged up when we came this way. We held a couple of guys out, and we wanted to get some continuity this weekend.

We didn't play very well. We had been moving guys over and getting hits with runners in scoring position. We had a lot of opportunities. We have to be better with two strikes. We're not doing the things we did earlier in the year. We have some people hurt and we've played a lot of different people. We're out of sync. We have to find a way to play better.

He's a strong kid. He's usually throwing in upper 80's and lower 90's. I think it's those guys who have gotten the experience that are going to have to step up and be the leaders.

Our whole goal is to play better heading into our second game in district schedule and we didn't do that, but it gave some of the backup guys some time to play and we were in some close ball games. You can only practice and simulate that a few times. There's no substitute for that. Hopefully this can be something we can learn from as we start district.

I'm just waiting for us to break loose and swing the bats a little better. We just aren't aggressive as I thought we were going to be. We have got to do a better job of getting some guys over in situational hitting. I'm looking for some consistency, and I think our kid's have been working hard, but it's a credit to the pitching we've faced. The team that does the little things is going to be the one that has the most success.

We went 10 innings with them the first time, and I expect it to be a good ball game on Tuesday. They have two good right handers that I expect to face, so we'll try to see what we can do with them, but it's going to be competitive all the way through. You just have to come out ready to play every night.

You got to take advantage of your opportunities, and so far we've done that. We haven't played well defensively. If you can make routine routine plays you can win ball games and we have to get to where we can do that. Some of the conditions were a little wet the past few days, but I think we will get better in that area, it surely gives you something to work on.

chance honor kids program senior time
We take anything that we get and put it back into our program for the kids to use. I just think it's fun, especially for our senior kids. They've been here a long time and it's a chance to honor them a little bit.

We'll have rounds of golf on auction, baseball related items, signed balls, and an autographed jersey that the kids sign. The parents get different items to sell. It's not just baseball stuff, it benefits everybody.

It was a big win. North Shore had beaten a good Cy-Fair ball club. I told our kids they were going to be in a seven-inning fight. I was real proud of the way we played. We made plays when we had to. Jeremy showed a lot of composure and we made some big plays behind him.
