battling coming football great guys hanging louisville lucky playing second tech virginia
I want to congratulate Louisville on playing a great game. We were lucky to win. I also want to congratulate my guys on hanging in there and battling and coming back in the second half. We got back to playing Virginia Tech football in the second half.
bit leadership needs senior
I want his senior leadership with us, but I think he needs just a little bit more time,
chance country help picture together watch
It's a chance for not only coaches, but everyone in the country to come together and help these people. As much as we watch it on TV, we can't get the real picture of what's going on down there.
battling chasing coming ended football gave great hung kept kids playing proud team tech virginia win
I told our football team at the half, if we play like Virginia Tech plays, we win the football game. That?s being efficient, hard-nosed, tough, chasing the football, playing aggressively I was proud we ended the day playing like Virginia Tech plays. I thought our kids gave great effort. They hung in there and kept battling and kept coming back.
voting
We usually have four. The voting was so close, we went with all six.
enjoy men smart treat
We treat them like men and give them some time. You have to let them come here and enjoy Jacksonville and all the things here. But they have to be smart about it.
eye keeping step time
We're keeping an eye on Jimmy, but I think it's time for Brandon Frye to step up.
both determined game indication understand
We're fine. That game was no indication of the two teams. The (five Maryland) turnovers just got it different than what it really was. I think both of us understand that. I know they're going to be very determined to come back and get us.
against business coming heck next people proud ready stink talk week
We're getting ready to play Ohio. I don't think you talk about those. The players, that shouldn't even be an issue. I'm proud. I'm proud as heck of what people think of us and what's coming around, but I know this: In this business it's one week to the next, and if we go out there and stink it up against Ohio, (the media) will be writing about something else next week.
exactly full
We're not always doing things exactly right, but we're doing them full speed. When you're doing them full speed, you feel like you can get the other part of it right.
happened talk took
We'll see what took place and I'll talk with everyone about what happened before I make any more statements.
balanced bit defense field football offense position quite short takes
You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.
certainly competition saying
We're not saying 'starting quarterback' right now. There's some competition to be done. But certainly Sean's No. 1 right now.
bit call ourselves tough
We battled back, but got ourselves in a little bit too much of a hole. We just couldn't get a call at the right time. It was just a tough night.
