award blocking defensive last might mission player send shots steals three year
They might as well take the defensive player of the year award and send it to Ben. He's been on a mission in the last three weeks, and when you look at all of the things he's doing - rebounding, blocking shots and making steals - he's phenomenal.
hang last teams week
They made the plays, we didn't. I haven't thought over the last week that we've been very sharp. We've let teams hang around.
guys hang last playing teams tired week
They made plays. We didn't. As I told our guys, I haven't thought over the last week that we've been very sharp. We've let teams hang around. Guys are tired or whatever, but we're not playing with that zip, with that sense of urgency.
approach biggest coach mental poise seem situation
They never seem to be in a situation where as a coach you say, 'Boy, we just don't have it tonight,' ... Their mental approach of 'It's going to be OK,' that's probably the biggest thing, the poise they have.
crossed great
They got crossed up on the pick-and-roll and Kidd made a great shot. That was demoralizing.
basket best execute feet instead looking playing shot
They got a run, we got undisciplined. We were looking for the home-run shot instead of doing the best thing that we do, and that's execute offensively. We were playing 45 feet from the basket with no dribbles.
beat came coming good teams
They don't quit. They keep on coming at you. There were times we had them down, they could have (given up), but they came right back. That's why they've been able to beat some good teams lately.
bud goes guys light looked next time volleyball
They had guys who looked like they were the Bud Light Daredevils going off the trampoline. One time it looked like a volleyball (match) where one guy fakes it and the next guy goes up and spikes it. They were all over the rim.
bearing dominate either game great playoff team
This is going to be a great game for the fans. It's going to be a competitive game. But I don't know how much bearing it will have for either team down the road. I mean, if we go out and dominate them, I don't know what bearing that would have come playoff time, and same thing the other way.
few step weeks
This is step one, but we don't want to be at step 10 right now anyway. We have a few weeks yet before we want to be at step 10.
cities common dead game games half happened last percentage rough second seventh shooting sign stretch three
This is our seventh game in seven different cities in 10 days. This has been a rough stretch and I think the common thing that has happened to us the last three games is that our shooting percentage in the second half is going down, which is usually a sign of dead legs.
bench clusters couple effective five guys main meant team three together
The way this team is built, our bench guys are meant to play together in clusters with our main group. When you put all five guys on the floor, they're not as effective as when three of those guys play with a couple of starters.
bring change closer minnesota team
This doesn't change anything (in the East). Look at the Minnesota Vikings. Controversy sometimes can bring a team closer together.
attention chase closed conference division games happening toward turned west
Our division was closed with 20-something games to go. The conference was closed with 10 or 12 games to go, so everyone turned their attention toward out west and the chase that was happening out there.
