against compete game good love players teams
It was intense. The players love to compete. The Spurs love to compete against big teams just like us. It was a good game to watch.
family
It's a close-knit group. When someone in your family is hurting, you hurt.
came camp credit expect good guys start
It's a credit to the way these guys came into camp and came in focused. They've made some big plays. I thought we could get off to a good start but you can't expect to go 20-3.
great loss remember smile sports
It's a great loss for the sports world and Minnesota. He was someone that you always remember with a smile on his face. It's tough.
court home lock overall secure weeks win
It's a five-step process. One, you want to get in the playoffs. We did that about two weeks ago. You want to win your division, which is going to pretty much lock in home court, at least through the first two rounds. Now what you want to do is secure home court in the East. Then secure home court overall and then the championship.
seven three
I told him I'd like to do this seven more times in two or three months.
against certain chance good offense ourselves playing prepare win work
I told our guys, we're not playing Milwaukee. We're playing ourselves. We have a certain way we want to play on offense and on defense. And if we do that, we give ourselves a chance to win against anybody. We can feel good about this right now. But we have to get back to work and prepare to go to Milwaukee.
break good guys single
I told our guys it's always good to go to the break with single digits in losses. That's always a good sign.
home impressed since sit watch ways
I've been impressed with him since Day One. At times, when I don't play him, I always go home at night, sit and watch the film and try to find ways why I didn't play him.
amazes five team
I've been here for five months, and this team still amazes me with its poise.
bad easy job moved pressure situations taken teams walking
I've been in situations where I've taken bad teams and moved them in the right direction. In those situations, there is no pressure. Would it have been easy for me to take another job and not have as much (pressure)? Pressure is what you put on yourself. I don't really feel any pressure walking into a situation.
few guys hanging league might next people shake teams trade tuesday
Things might shake out a little more in the next few days. Teams might have been hanging on to people to see if they could make a trade. Now they might let them go. You see a lot of guys go on waivers after the trade deadline. I'd say by Tuesday you'll know more about around the league from a roster standpoint.
days expected gone needed second seven tough
They are always tough ones, when you've been gone for seven days and you come back and are expected to win. I thought we executed when we needed to - in the second half.
bring bryan mike players situation team
They all bring something to the table. Bryan got the players there. Mike put the players in a situation to be successful. Nash implemented the situation to be successful. They all bring something, and that's what team is all about.
