falcon football momentum number penalties quicker team
What was disappointing for our football team was the number of penalties we got. It was very, very uncharacteristic of Falcon football. Penalties will take away your momentum quicker than anything in the world.
built continue depth effective game good guys line obviously offensive periods second unit
We feel like we have some depth in our offensive line and obviously we have two good quarterbacks with game experience. That second unit built some pride. There are a lot of those second-unit guys that could be just as effective as the first-unit guys. We'll continue to use two units like that. What periods of the game we'll use them or when we'll use them, we're not going to say.
good home knew left opponent playing ready wife
Your opponent has a lot to do with that. We knew we were playing a good team. I told my wife before I left home that we were more ready to play than we've been in a long time.

I don't know what else you would have liked as a football fan, although I didn't enjoy this game.
capable football great minutes team
It's up to us to go out and play 60 minutes of the kind of football that I think this football team is capable of playing. . . . They've got some great players, but I think we've got some great players, too.

coach college football good great hardest hurt job learn line offensive people played pushing skill technique
The offensive line has played well. Coach (Pete) Hurt has done a great job with them. To me, the hardest place to learn to play in college football is in the offensive line. A lot of people just think it's pushing and shoving, but it's a lot of skill and a lot of exactness, a lot of technique and a lot of precision. We've done a good job.
best cupboard expect field good injuries last players return stay
They've got a lot of good players, ... Unfortunately they had a lot of injuries last year, and a lot of those players are back from injuries. They return 19 starters, so the cupboard is not bare. We'll have to be at our very best if we expect to stay on the field with them.
faster players ran team
The other team had a lot more Afro-American players than we did and they ran a lot faster than we did.
continue education help move standards understand
We also understand that standards have to be maintained. We have to move on with our preparations for this season, but we'll do all we can to help Marcus continue his education at another school.
bit developing felt free main might players position potential range safety
We felt like we had some young players that were developing at the free safety position that might have a little bit more range and might give us the potential to get more interceptions back there. That's the main reason.

I realize the things I said might have been hurtful to many people and I want everyone to understand that I never intended to offend anyone.
