I've punished myself more than anyone could possibly punish me. It's more important the judgement I got from God than anyone else. If I've hurt anyone or offended anyone, I'm truly sorry.

I was trained to be a deadly killer. I was probably one of the Marine Corps best killers. But, I decided I'm not a killer. It was a conviction that came from my heart ... maybe between me and God.

I just decided I didn't want to be a part of killing anybody. That's about as plain as I can say it.

I'm glad to get this behind me. What are they going to do with a 55-year-old man that's baldheaded, broke down, mentally unstable? What more can you do to me? I've lived a good life.
