Of those four runs, I think three were walks. Basically, we didn't have good control in the late innings and that's why we had the merry-go-round on the mound.

You can analyze or over-analyze the statistics. We're averaging like six or seven runs a ball game and we feel our offense is kind of where it needs to be. Defensively, we've had a good rotation the last 10 games, so I look for a solid defense behind them. We're trying to put the pitching together.

We talked a lot with our pitchers about working down the zone. You don't have to make THE pitch but you have to make a good pitch and trust your defense.

He threw a complete game win and you can't ask anymore for a freshman. Cain did a wonderful job of keeping the hitters off balance and getting ahead in the count It was his second good performance his first one was in relief against Oglethorpe.

A.J. is a good pitcher. He's not as experienced as the other pitchers are, but he'll give us a good five to seven innings. We have a couple other freshmen in line (for relief) that I feel can do the job and take care of what they need to so we can save some of our pitching for the rest of the weekend.

Dr. Morgan will evaluate his finger and we'll hope he's back and that he's going to be back effective for us pitching and in center field. We just have to wait for the evaluation from the doctor.

Peters is leading the team in RBIs. He's doing a great job seeing the ball, and again, he's a freshman who's getting a lot of at-bats and gaining a lot of confidence and he came through today.
