The play is the story of Sadako Sasaki a young Japanese women who was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was two kilometers away from where the Atomic Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

I decided to put on a play to benefit the American Cancer Society. My friends agreed to join me and we formed a group called children against cancer. I have had two people close to me die from cancer. I felt the need to do something good in memory of them.
