advantage ball hard hit looking lucky patience pitch struggling throwing waiting
I have patience. I'm waiting for my pitch, and I've been lucky they've been throwing the pitch where I've been looking for it and I've hit it. When you have things going you get hits. When you're struggling you hit the ball hard right at somebody. You have to take advantage when you can.
hit
We hit hard. I thought Manny was going to be all right because he's a big man. I'm so skinny.
ready
I think he's going to be ready to play in this league.
bring player prepared slow start work
I work to bring everything together, but sometimes you start slow and sometimes you start quick. Every player is different. I know I'm going to be prepared to start fast.
believe good players teammates
One of my teammates told me about the record. I thought it would be longer. They've had a lot of good players come through this team, a lot of good hitters. I can't believe it's not more than 16 games.
games league national took
Now that's a National League game. When I was in the American League, the games took 4 hours, 4 1/2 hours. That's a long game. I don't really like it. Over here, you play the game, do what you have to do, and go home.
best hitting knew
To me, he was one of the best hitting coaches. When he said something, it was true. You knew he knew hitting.
hard plan
The only way you get better is by working hard, and that is what I plan to do.
feels good won
About time, ... It was a good one, too. It feels good because we won the game, that's most important.
felt good guys spring
There's a lot of good guys in this clubhouse. I felt comfortable from the first day of spring training. They know how to play the game.
anybody bad early feeling help spring talk
Anybody can have a bad year. It's too early to talk about how I'm going to do this season. But from the first day of spring training, I have been feeling good. I think I can help this team.
communication
The most important thing is communication. If we have the communication, I think we could be good.
kick
He'd kick the pitcher's (butt). He'd do it. No (fooling) around, bro.
deal
I never got booed before and I didn't know how to deal with that. I don't have anything to prove.
