It's been good to go against guys like that and play well. But I still have a long way to go. Those are two of the best doing it right now. When you add Yao Ming and Jermaine O'Neal into the mix, those are the best centers in the league right now, so they are the guys you really want to play well against.
It is hard to try and find a rhythm when you're only out there for short spurts, but it's fine,
I think I have enough to be successful out there.
We felt in the previous two games, we played pretty well. Down the stretch, we kind of gave the games away. Tonight, we found ourselves in the same position and we just didn't let this one slip.
We definitely are playing better, but still have lapses. We still have a ways to go. As long as we go out with a high effort you never know.
Yeah, I definitely sensed that. And that's why I was so adamant about getting back and trying to help the team as much as possible. I realize I don't have to score to help them, my presence alone, just me being so big and taking up space helps them out a lot.
Y'all pulled out the old stuff, ... This is the vintage stuff. Throwback. This is crazy, man, crazy.
We definitely didn't feel the season was over, ... We realized it was only 9 games of an 82-game season. It was definitely far from over.
There was a lot of nervousness before the game, a lot of buildup, but overall I felt good.
As long as we don't have any big injuries, we should be fine. Start coming together, eventually we'll start winning.
As long as I'm able to walk, and run up and down the court, I'm going to definitely try to give it all I got. I'll be 100 percent real soon.
That's just how things happened. I think in the long run, New York is going to come out on top.
Any time a coach addresses a team after a loss like this, it's disappointing. We've got to leave the coaching to them and the effort is up to us. The bad part is, we've heard this before.
This is a big year not just for me but for everybody. If we have the same kind of year as last year, a lot of us won't be here.
