absolutely clear decision enterprise later stand vote
We stand by our decision on the enterprise zones; the later vote absolutely was not as environmentally clear as the one we used.
best cheering fans heartily side sit
When you've got hundreds of fans cheering heartily for their teams, having them sit side by side sometimes isn't the best thing. They get (emotional) and say things without thinking. Then you have a problem.
population
There is no population in there. It's deserted.
balance exactly goal mean means run throw trying
We'll be different, but the goal is to still be that kind of offense. It may not be exactly the same, but what you're always trying to do is balance, and balance doesn't mean you're 50-50. It means you can run it and you can throw it.
along basis bringing capacity change community consultant enormity expert given help looking outside
We'll be bringing in a consultant from the outside to help us because we don't have the capacity to do it along with everything else. Given the enormity of the change we're looking for, it's probably better to have someone who is an expert in New Urbanism to help us do it on an expedited basis with community input.
cameras pilot problem year
We'll see those in the New Year. We are identifying the problem intersections and will ... pilot them for a year to see how well the cameras work.
kept knew
We knew they were going to make a run. We knew they were going to get hot, but we kept our composure.
bring happened last past stand
We know where we stand and where we are. Why bring it up? It's the past. That happened last year.
running jesus crazy
And pigs may fly. And we may be able to terraform and send surface populations to Mars. And Jesus may come next week anyway, so it doesn't matter one way or the other. All these crazy things run through people's minds.
differences half world
If we lose half the species, which could happen by the end of the century if we don't do anything, that's going to create a big difference down the line in the stability and even the economic potential in the living world. Irreversibly.
appreciate people world
The living environment is the biosphere, the thin layer around the world of living organisms. We're part of that. Our existence is dependent on it in ways that people haven't even begun to appreciate. Our existence depends not just on its existence, but its stability and its richness.
running zoos animal
The solutions like freezing zygotes, fertilized eggs, of all kinds of animals and so on, or keeping them in zoos and having arboreta where we have trees, all these things have been promoted. Even getting the complete genetic code of various fishes so we can let them pass away and then we'll pull them back. That is science fiction run amok.
ecosystems majority gone
The vast majority of species that are vanishing, we haven't even discovered yet. How can you possibly put them back in nature if the ecosystem is gone?
adventure home thinking
That's the way to get young people. Once they see there are wonderful things to hunt for, to rediscover a species that was thought to be extinct or is extremely rare, to be the first to see a nest, to discover a new species unsuspected close to your home - these are things, I think, with a little education and excitement and the right kind of natural history would actually start a movement that makes going back to nature a profitable adventure.
