I had an OK day at the office.
I'm young. The only thing I told them in the meeting is I would talk to my family and get a feel for being away from my family three years.
I'll be all right. I'll get a lot of liquids and fluids in me tonight.
Not only am I confident in that situation, but Shaq has given me that go-ahead to say the fourth quarter is (my) time. When you get that, I don't worry about making a mistake. When I drive and his man comes, then I throw the ball to the rim. As long as I continue to do that, he'll continue to be happy.
Anytime you get a win you're happy with it and you try to learn from it.
Anytime you lose a game it's painful. But when you get blown out, when you get embarrassed, especially on (national) TV, it's terrible. You put a hat on and walk out of here because no one has a reason to walk out of here with their head up.
At times it has been good. At times it has been average.
That means we are having a good year with a lot of games left. We want to continue to get better and stay healthy down the stretch.
I mean, you can't really celebrate after you hit the free throw. But if you miss the free throw, yeah, it takes the whole and-one thing out the window. Then it's just a basket.
I'm not going to try to convince him. It's going to be hard to convince him anyway, with a new baby on the way. I just wanted to make my decision before him, so if that helped him any ...
In the first half, I was just letting them deny me. The second half, I tried to do a better job of getting open. But it's kind of hard to do something when you don't have any arms to do anything, when the guy's all on your arms. It's very tough.
In my mind, the game slowed down because I couldn't be as fast as I wanted to be. That's the way I need to play, under control and seeing everything.
I knew it wasn't my night. Coach told me a halftime to keep going. It was just getting into a rhythm.
I know Alonzo was saying that on the bench over and over and over.
