goal good half job minutes putting second together
We did a good job in the first half, but in the second half I thought we were a little lax. Putting together 48 minutes is our goal from here on out ... that has been the story of our whole year.
flexible goal ready starting trade
It's your goal starting out to make the playoffs. I didn't see not making the playoffs, no, I didn't, not at all. First, I didn't see the trade (with Boston) coming. I didn't see going into the development direction. But again, you've got to be ready for that and flexible for that as an organization being on the same page.
expectation goal last level realistic run thinking win
The expectation level is sky-high for all of us. Their goal was to win the division, thinking they could run away with it like we did last year. I don't know if that's a realistic goal.
almost anyone asked build goal guys hope justin missed ran reed run
I asked Justin Reed if anyone had ever run an 'iso' for him in Boston, and he said no. We ran an 'iso' for him and he almost missed the whole goal he was so open. Those things you go through and hope the young guys build on that.
beings coming defense fastest human parker pressure puts tony
Tony Parker is probably one of the fastest human beings in the world. He puts so much pressure on the defense when he is coming at you.
aggressive basketball hit jump line nine playing road second settling stopped tells
We got out playing the way we wanted to play basketball in the first quarter. In the second quarter, we hit a road block. We stopped being aggressive and started settling for jump shots. We only got to the free-throw line nine times. That tells me that we weren't being aggressive.
heat hit shoot third train turned
We hit a wall. We hit a freight train in the third quarter. Offensively we couldn't execute, we couldn't shoot and we couldn't score. ... They turned the heat up and we didn't respond.
days fight good lost spirited
I've said this all along; I do want to play Marko. And Marko has had two good days of spirited practice. He's got that fight back. He's got that spirit back that I liked. I thought he lost that.
lose suicide
It would be suicide to lose Kevin. That's not even part of my thought process.
basketball bullets care gave jumps offensive paper took
The stat that jumps out on paper for me is the turnovers. That's huge. We took care of the basketball and that gave us more bullets on the offensive end.
careless free line percent shot tonight
The story tonight was turnovers and free throws. We shot 67 percent from the free-throw line and had too many careless turnovers in the first half.
aggressive attack everyday kevin knock shots tonight until wants
I see the same Kevin. Kevin wants to win; he wants to attack. I see him everyday and I see the same passion. I thought tonight that they were double-teaming him and I think that's kind of what got him out of whack. Until we knock down shots and be aggressive and attack the rim, he's going to see that.
attack difference guys liked team
I see the difference in our team -- the speed, the quickness, the guys in attack mode. I liked our scrap, I liked our fight.
balls build deserved diving guys trying winning
These are young guys and we're trying to win. For me to build a winning environment, you have to try to win every night. These guys were scratching and diving for balls and they deserved to win.
