I had just got my license, and my dad was real proud of me for it, so he let me drive his pure stock car, ... I was kind of nervous, having not driven before . . . and I ended up wrecking the car. Needless to say, I had to buy my own race cars and stuff like that afterwards.

It was something that it's taken a lot of people a lot of years to get to, ... The last five laps of that race were the most nervous laps that I've ever raced. I was just telling myself to be smooth . . . I didn't want to jab the car and spin it out.
