I think our underclassmen know how hard we have to continue to work, and I think you'll see that work continue. Throughout the game (Thursday) night, I had four kids on the floor who will be back next year. I also had seven kids on the bench who will be back next year. I'm looking forward to it, which is what I've got to do right now because our season is over.

You can't use that as an excuse. Yes, we needed them in the game. If you're going to go down, you want to go down with your seniors giving all their effort. I had two of them on the bench at the end of the game. We're definitely not used to seeing that.

We've got two more games to go through before we can start talking. Right now, we'll let our basketball do the talking for us.

We knew we had to come out and play hard. (North Cobb has) the ability to control the tempo. I do believe we could've done a better job, but our kids played hard, and we moved the ball around well.

I think we worked hard in spurts. We're used to making runs - other people make a run and then we make a run. Well, (Thursday) our runs were not as effective as they've been in the past and that's a tribute to (Beach).

I take my hat off to Pope. They competed and went down fighting. We did some good things, but there's plenty of room for improvement. We're not quite where I want to be yet.

We made progress as a team. The whole thing benefited us. Some people from USA Today said that if you win one game in this tournament, you've done good.

The kids had a chance to execute against a top quality team. They are solid all the way around, and we wanted to get experience against them.

I look at the team in all total aspects. We had four guys in double figures tonight, and if you're going to have two of them (over 20 points) with that, it's hard to beat.

(Cherokee) fought hard. They made their run (in the fourth quarter), and they were right there. But we battled through.

I'm disappointed for our seniors. They've worked so hard and done so much for our program. I think they've lost only two games in the last two years.
