They were beat up and pretty tired. They contributed that first night, but not like they have for the past month and a half. It took them a while to get used to a ball they could dribble.

When I found out they were moving the game, I told my AD to call the FHSAA and tell them don't move it, don't change the game because of us.

They never, ever stop playing hard no matter what. I couldn't be more proud of everything they've accomplished.

At halftime, I told them not to come out of the locker room unless they would come fight, scratch, claw, whatever they had to do until the end of the game.

They didn't seem to back away from hard work, but they didn't start working that hard together. However, they worked better together as each game progressed. They wanted to win and just kept getting better.

As he got older, he became stronger and his speed improved. He also grew defensively.
coached fun game great group kids meet nice
This game was a lot of fun. It was nice to meet the kids you coached against. You always were able to see them, but it was fun to meet them and I had a great group of kids.
award gave tribute
This award is a tribute to the players. They just never gave up.

Of course you always think you can get there, but I didn't really know if this might be a possibility at the beginning. But the kids, they got better every day.

I think we're a decent basketball team. I hope we can get better.

(Jefferson) made that run at us and we just wanted to make some shots. We got some shots and some lay ups and just kept playing our defense.

Our kids showed heart, but Eastside played very hard and physically. They were the better team today and deserved to win.

If I told you what I said, you would have to use a lot of those shift keys on the keyboard. It was my fault. I got frustrated and said things I shouldn't.
good halfway junior player saw shoot
He has always been a good shooter. After he got about halfway through his junior varsity year, we saw he could be a good player because he could shoot the ball.
