The resilience of the team showed tonight. We could have packed it in early, especially the way they were hitting the ball. We didn't. We kept the game close.
I don't even really care, to be totally honest. I'm really concerned about the lineup. I know I'm not betting on getting any hits off him, I'm just trying to keep the game as close as I can to give my team a chance.
Right now it's about winning ball games. Whatever I can do to win, I'll do it, even if I have to get hit by a pitch, whatever it takes.

I looked at the second baseman and I figured I'd go hard and give up my body to get in there, ... It was key. It was all about just putting pressure on their guy. I wasn't able to put down any bunts today. I'm upset about that, but I was able to get some key hits for the team.
I'll never forget how nervous I was. It was almost like getting transferred to a new high school in your senior year. Everybody watching you. I was so erratic they either swung or I almost hit them. But it's funny. They still believed in me. I thought I was going to get released after that.
I'm just swinging. To be able to get a big hit and put that much pressure on the pitcher is key.
I've said early on, it comes down to consistency and being able to do it inning after inning, ... Things are coming together, and I hope to build off it.
