falling few front good mistakes nine poor score tale ugly
Tale of two nines. It started falling into place on the back nine. I made a few mistakes on the front; a ugly front nine but managed a good score out of a poor start.

I've played well every week, but there's this one guy that's been beating me every week.

That stretch there from 7 to 14, he either birdied or eagled almost every hole. I played well in that stretch. I birdied five or six and still lost ground.

I thought if I made my putt on 18, we'd be in a playoff. He just closed the door on me.
deserved eight guess nine shot
I guess I made one too many bogeys this week. I made eight birdies after that, shot a 30 on the back nine and still lost. He deserved it.

The ball didn't travel as far, so the course played significantly longer today. I made some long putts, but I missed three putts in the 6-8 foot range that I'm kicking myself over.
fun good greens hitting percentage
It's been a lot of fun hitting a lot of good shots. Hitting most of the greens and making a real good percentage of those putts - that's a good combination.
dream great opportunity played tournament win
It's been a dream to win the first tournament of the year, some year. I've played for 30 years and haven't done that so this is a great opportunity for me.
